More interesting goings-on at the CRT lately!
When the lists were released on the 26th, somebody uploaded the wrong file to the CRT website. Apparently, it went unnoticed by CRT desk jockeys for a week before they fixed it. But they did fix it.
And then the next day, the released a whole new NOM List.
That’s why you’ll be seeing a rapid fire release of 2 Tequila Aficionado NOM Lists today.

Our updated list of tequila distilleries and brands, the “Nom List”, as of 26 May 2014, is now available for download in both PDF and Excel formats. Click on any of the underlined items within the list to be taken directly to our reviews, articles, tasting notes and features on each tequila brand.
Tequila Brands Old & New
Each of our NOM Lists contains the names and information of brands that have previously appeared on NOM lists in the past but have since been dropped by the CRT. Pinpointing your treasure bottles has never been easier! Please understand that this list is not a comprehensive list of every tequila brand ever made. We make every effort to be sure it is as accurate as possible from the time we at Tequila Aficionado Media began publishing our lists in 2013.

In 1922, Alejandro Borquez pushed back from the dinner table and said to his beautiful young bride, Rosa,”You are such a good cook we should open up a restaurant”
- and they did.
The rest is history.
Absolutely delicious. We LOVE this place!!! The portions are perfect. They do not overwhelm you with food. The salsa and chips are always fresh, and the enchiladas are my favorite. The strawberry margaritas are to die for.
The food was extremely well priced and very tasty. The servings were also huge and the staff were extremely friendly. You even get a free serve of fresh, hot corn chips with hot and mild salsa, delivered to your table as soon as you sit down.
I had combination #1 (beef taco and cheese enchilada with cheese). Very nice but the highlight was the Tortilla soup, something I have never had before, simply awesome. Very tasty indeed.
If I lived here I’d be going here all the time. We’ll worth it!
El Cholo has the same effect on me as those timepiece films like “Stand By Me” or “Huckleberry Finn”- it is a walk into the old way of doing things, tried and true, from a humbler time. Yet, in its heyday, I’ll bet that El Cholo really stood out as something special. - 2 1/2 oz IXA silver tequila
- 1 1/4 oz Lillet white vermouth
Shake + strain into martini glass
Squeeze lemon peel over glass
Garnish with lemon twist
- 1 3/4 oz IXA silver tequila
- 1/4 oz FRUITLAB orange liqueur
- 1 1/2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz agave nectar
- 2-3 oz club soda
- 2 sweet basil leaves
- 4 dashes BAR KEEP Swedish bitters
Shake and strain into a rocks glass
Top with club soda
Garnish with basil
- 2 oz IXA silver tequila
- 1 oz FRUITLAB jasmine liqueur
- 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1 oz agave nectar
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
Garnish with grapefruit twist

Necessity is the Mother of Invention
Mobile browsers don’t always work as quickly as we’d like them to.
