Tequila Drinks to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Margaritas board

Cinco de Mayo is a wonderful spring holiday that we all love to celebrate, whether we’re Mexicanos or not.  It is more than just a Latino St. Patrick’s Day.  This is a celebration of one of America’s biggest minorities (which is actually the majority here in San Antonio).  This is also a celebration of tequila culture and that makes Cinco de Mayo one of our favorite holidays here at Tequila Aficionado!

You may have noticed that limes are getting more and more expensive.  That isn’t just a case of holiday fever.  You may have heard about the ruckus in Mexico about farmers not being able to get their limes across the border.  Eventually, that’ll take a bite out of everyone’s favorite lime drink so why not try something that doesn’t require that tiny, overpriced citrus fruit?  There are plenty of tangy, fruity recipes here!  We’ve been careful to include classic tequila drinks here as well as a hearty helping of some delicious concoctions that you can make without limes.
