Dave and Andrea have traveled to the small beach town of Puerto Penasco, Mexico for many years. They instantly fell in love with the beautiful beaches, relaxed culture and, of course, the tequila.
In 2006, they met Carlos, a shop owner, who offered them a taste of an unforgettable Mezcal. This Mezcal was an infusion of maple and agave that had been perfected by his family for more than 100 years. The combination was delicious and very easy to drink and inspired Dave and Andrea.
They started infusing tequila with their own favorite flavors of honey and vanilla. After many attempts, they finally arrived at their secret recipe for some of the smoothest, easiest drinking tequila they had ever tasted. “When can I buy this?” was commonly heard from family and friends who were lucky enough to be among the early taste-testers. Dave and Andrea knew they were on to something. In 2011, they began working to bring their dream to fruition and are proud to present it to you today.
1 1/2 oz. Dulce Dorado Tequila
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
4 oz. diet grapefruit soda
1/2 lime (juiced)
Pour over ice in salt-rimmed glass
Garnish with lime wedge
