Mandala Extra Anejo Tequila Review

From the Mandala Tequila Website:

Sipping Off the Cuff | Mandala Tequila Extra Anejo http://wp.me/p3u1xi-5a7A MANDALA has remained valid in all cultures around the world for thousands of years, it is not limited to borders, religions or cultures, it is accessible to all humanity, which is why it has very strong and broad meanings, all derived from a circle for us a mandala is a circle of joy, peace and above all life.

In our family Circle, generations, friends and acquaintances, we always give ourselves the time to sit down together and decide what will be our next outing weekend, anniversary, our vacation next summer, our winter holidays etc, usually in

our Mexican culture and in general human nature we all enjoyed a good weekend on a beach, a cabin or a little gateway anywhere, but most important spending time with family, friends or colleagues.

This custom is most pleasant for us as Mexicans, being in a place, relaxing , laughing, being out of the normal routine and enjoying your stay.

Titanium Extra Anejo Tequila Review

In this episode of Sipping Off the Cuff, Mike Morales and Rick Levy get their first taste of the new Extra Anejo from the makers of Titanium Tequila.

From the Titanium Tequila Wesbite:

Sipping Off the Cuff | Titanium Tequila Reposado http://wp.me/p3u1xi-55ROur tequilas begin with the world’s finest 100% tequilana blue weber agave grown in the highlands of Jaslisco, Mexico.

Each of our agave plants are hand selected at the peak of their maturity full of sweetness and robust flavor. After harvesting the agave our jimadors carefully cut the agave down to the “piña”, or heart, leaving only the purest part of the agave plant for our tequila’s. Our agave is the highest quality agave found in the world creating a tequila like no other.

Our piña is then slowly roasted in a stainless steel autoclave. this cooking process is important in allowing for a consistent, sweet, and rich piña ready for fermenting as well as ensuring a clean outcome minimizing any possible bacteria build up. After roasting the piña is then shredded and juices extracted for fermenting.

Next is the fermenting which is done in an open air environment. This process is unrushed with a special strand of yeast added to control and create a consistently high quality spirit. The result is a luxurious, robust tequila ready for distillation. The tequila is then twice distilled in pot stills creating the finest small batch tequila available today.

40 MONTHS OF DOUBLE-CASK AGING
Don Pilar’s Extra Añejo is aged in new American White Oak barrels for 36 months. Leopoldo and Gabriel—our master distillers—add a final, masterly stroke and finish aging it for an additonal four months in French Limousin Oak casks to impart a luscious fruity finish.

HAND-SIGNED, LIMITED-EDITION BOTTLING
To commemorate the uniqueness of this Extra Añejo, every bottle was individually numbered and hand-signed by Don Pilar. This first lot was limited to 10,000 bottles.

AN ODE TO TRADITION
Every bottle comes in a wooden gift box that tells the story of La Cabalgata, a Mexican tradition of horsemanship, faith and camraderie.

SHOOTING IT WOULD BE A CRIME
To experience fully, we recommend you pour this Extra Añejo in a wide-bowled snifter and sip slowly and luxuriously.

Malinalli Tequila Extra Anejo German Apple Cake Recipe

I won’t lie or pretend to be unbiased here. I love Malinalli Tequila Extra Anejo. It is the little black dress of tequilas. Whether it is a drink for one with a book, a quiet night for two, or special celebration with friends, Malinalli is perfect.

But just because it is great for drinking doesn’t mean you can’t cook with it. In fact just a little goes a long way. In this recipe I discovered that the delicate spices in Malinalli Extra Anejo Tequila are the perfect accent flavors for German apple cake.

Zevada Family Gran Reserva Tequila Review

Mike & Alex taste and discuss Zevada Family Gran Reserva

The Z stands for Pepe Zevada

After 35 years travelling the world as an executive in the spirits industry, Pepe Zevada retired to Austin, Texas. However, it did not take him long to get back in the game and he quickly launched Z Tequila. His Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo tequilas have received awards and critical acclaim and are well-loved throughout Texas. Z Tequila’s value is as remarkable as its quality, because Pepe believes luxury shouldn’t be so hard to come by.

He stands for quality

Pepe Zevada Z Tequila is based in Austin, Texas and produced in the Highlands of Jalisco, where tequila originated. It is made with 100% Natural Highland Agave which is cooked in ecologically designed vertical pressure cookers that utilize gravity to extract only the aguamiel, the sweet honey of the agave. The left over parts of the agave are dried and used as fuel to heat the ovens and copper stills used to create Z Tequila. Pepe’s Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo tequilas are aged in lightly charred American Oak barrels. Pepe Zevada Z Tequila is 80 proof.

Suerte Tequila Extra Anejo Limited Editions

Established in 2012, Suerte Tequila was created by co-founders Laurence Spiewak and Lance Sokol, along with Master Distiller Pedro Hernandez Barba of Tequilera Simbolo. Based in the highlands of Jalisco, the family-run distillery and agave plantation employs traditional methods to produce their high quality spirits. To preserve the flavor and color of the spirit, the Master Distiller opts for micron filtering, rather than charcoal filtering, and relies mostly on gravity, not pumps and motors, to move the tequila from the holding tanks, through filtration to the bottling line.

Suerte Tequila Extra Anejo is a limited edition, single barrel, five year old 100% Extra Anejo Tequila. Each bottle represents an individual cask selection and is labeled with a unique batch number. Silky golden in color, when poured, aromas of baked pear, fruit pastry, honey and pepper emerge from the glass. Rich, complex flavors of caramel, nougat, and toffee lead to a slightly sweet, buttery finish.

Although it is our labor of love, the tequila business is highly competitive. We often find our craft tequila is not afforded the same access or opportunity to share our spirit as many of the other larger, well-capitalized tequila brands.  This fundraising project is an effort to connect Mexican Moonshine Tequila with the RCPM’s community-based audience and utilize its enthusiasm to raise awareness and much-needed capital in order to help us expand its availability.

Longtime fans of the band know that Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers were born from the ashes of The Refreshments, the Arizona rock band that pre-figured the Americana sound.

We at Mexican Moonshine Tequila are offering several creative, unique and exclusive opportunities for the band, our tequila, and our audience to come together and share the fun in this fundraising experience.  Please check out the many different levels of participation available.  We welcome all help, whether it be in the form of a financial contribution or your active advocacy in this cause.  Thank you, Tequila Familia, for doing this together and we are excited to share our Spirit with you soon!

Dulce Vida Extra Anejo Tequila Review

Mike and Alex taste and discuss the epic 5-year, extra anejo, from organic, overproof, Dulce Vida Tequila.

dulce vida, extra anejoVisit Dulce Vida Online hereBlog FacebookTwitterYouTube

Dulce Vida’s Extra Añejo is a celebratory Limited Edition rested for just over five years in single barrels from a respected Napa Valley winery. This unique craft approach is unmatched in the marketplace, creating a truly unique, complex extra añejo with the great characteristics expected of truly authentic, traditional Añejos. This Extra Añejo provides a soft nose, like a cognac or whiskey, and the full body of a 100 proof tequila.

This Limited Edition commemorates Dulce Vida’s five-year anniversary in the marketplace. Truly, an unrivaled fine sipping tequila.

Dulce Vida Tequilas sources its 100% organic agave from the Los Altos highlands in the Tequila region of Mexico. Because of the unique climatic characteristics and the air & soil, this area is well known for producing larger, fruitier agave, ideal for tequila. This organic agave ensures Dulce Vida makes tequila the way tequila has always tasted best: pure and powerful, free of any additives.

Dulce Vida produces the only 100° proof, 100% organic tequila in the world and has been nationally recognized as a brand rich in tequila heritage, earning top awards in numerous competitions. What sets Dulce Vida apart is a combination of product attributes, packaging, and taste profile – including Handcrafted Distillation, 100° Proof/Navy Strength, and Organics. 100° Proof provides Dulce Vida the purity, authenticity, and full agave taste that is the cornerstone of our brand. We make our tequila at 100° proof to fashion our spirit in an old-world means, cask-strength, the way spirits were enjoyed years ago.

The concept of sustainability was very strategic in the selection of our facility for tequila production.  The facility not only had to be capable of making a great product, with care and diligence meeting our specifications, but also had to meet requirements for organic production and overall measures of sustainability – being a kind partner to the environment and local community.  A complete recapture of all production waste is performed that yields a nutrient-rich soil supplement to the local farming community.  Furthermore, as a by-product of the waste collection & processing, methane gas is captured, creating an energy source utilized to power the facility.
