Great Festival Chase Tour FAQs #GreatFestChase

Great Festival Chase Tour FAQs #GreatFestChase https://wp.me/p3u1xi-5LdWhen does The Great Festival Chase start?

Our tour begins on National Tequila Day, July 24th, as we depart from Texas and make our way to Mammoth Lakes, California.  It’s a 1600 mile drive just to get to our starting point and our driver (Lisa) needs breaks.

Can I still get in on this tour?

YES!  We need to depart Texas earlier this year in order to make it to the Mammoth Margarita Festival in Early August, but you still have time to get on board.

The tour information page & pricing is available here:
http://tequilaaficionado.com/2018-great-festival-chase/

If you’re interested in a lot more exposure to get your brand on the tip of every agave spirit lover’s tongue, Brands of Promise Nominees from this year, and any previous years, are also qualified for our Influencer Marketing Package (which includes the 2018 Tour). Details can be found here:
http://tequilaaficionado.com/tequila-pr/influencer-marketing/

How long do I have to decide?

If you choose to tour with us, we will need to know by June 15 and receive payment and 2 bottles of each expression by July 1.

How much does the tour cost?

The total cost to you for each expression that you would like to go on this tour is only $500.

Great Festival Chase Tour FAQs #GreatFestChase https://wp.me/p3u1xi-5LdWhat else do I get as a sponsor?

In addition to exposure at these shows, sponsors will receive a ridiculous amount of social media posts on behalf of Tequila Aficionado, on all of our social networks, to promote their brands. You can find the complete list of posts and items that we will be providing to all of our sponsor brands – for each expression – at http://bit.ly/greatfestchase.

Are you pouring at all of these shows?

No.  We will only be pouring at the El Cholo event.  If we were pouring at each event, we’d need to carry a lot more booze and our RV just isn’t that big.

Will I get exposure at all of these shows?

In early August the first stop on our tour will be the Mammoth Margarita Festival. While we aren’t pouring there, we will be auditioning tasters for Tequila Aficionado and using sponsor brands for those tastings.

Our next stop will be in Monterey where we will do a series of interviews at the Monterey Bay Tequila and Cuisine event. Sponsor brands will get exposure there by product placement in the videos.

Lastly, we will finish the tour at El Cholo in Pasadena at the end of October, where we will be pouring sponsor brands.

Great Festival Chase Tour FAQs #GreatFestChase https://wp.me/p3u1xi-5LdWill sponsors get to participate with you at the events?

If you’re available, the Mammoth Margarita Festival, Monterey or El Cholo will be great venues for interviews for our Open Bar show.  Please email Lisa@TequilaAficionado.com to let us know the most convenient venue to meet up.

Also, if you’d like to represent your brand at the El Cholo VIP tasting, we’d love to have you there.  (See below for details.)

What if I want to pour at Mammoth Margarita Festival?

Let us know and we’ll put you in contact with the organizers.

What if I want to pour & enter at Monterey Bay Tequila and Cuisine?

In order to participate in the blind tasting competition, exhibitor must have entry form and fee paid and submitted, no later than Friday, August 17th.

Blind tasting competition: Each exhibitor will be given one entry of one expression, either blanco or reposado to be entered in the blind tasting at no cost. MBTC organizers will purchase the expression online.  For additional expressions to be entered, MBTC team will purchase online, however, exhibitor is responsible for cost of purchase.

Great Festival Chase Tour FAQs #GreatFestChase https://wp.me/p3u1xi-5LdWhat if I want to pour at El Cholo?

Great!  As a tour sponsor, your brand is already participating in and will be poured during the VIP Hour at El Cholo.  If you or a representative of your brand would like to do the pouring and be available to discuss your brand with the VIPs, we’d love to have you there!  Please email Lisa@TequilaAficionado.com and let her know you’ll be there.

How do I get Tickets for Each Event?

Mammoth: Buy Tickets Here.

Monterey: Buy Tickets Here.

El Cholo: Buy Tickets Here.

Can I just wait until next year?

You can, but our tour locations and itineraries change every year and you’ll miss out on the massive exposure these three big events on this year’s tour will bring to your brand.

Here’s the thing: We handle all of it.

You don’t need to plan events

From our most recent 10 tweets

We Don’t Displace Your Agency

You may have an agency that is handling all of your promotion and that’s OK.  What we do complements what your agency is doing.  The material we create on our tours is additional publicity that your agency, your social media manager, and you can use to further your overall promotion strategy.

Tequila Aficionado’s (real) Instagram, April 2018

You Can’t Beat the Price

The beauty of the Tequila Aficionado Tour is you pay a modest price to have your brand(s) tour with us and then we take it from there.

Everything we do is organic and our followers are real tequila aficionados who buy and drink agave spirits.

If we boost a post about your brand, you’ll know about it and have access to all the details.

We also ensure all our posts are FTC compliant.

No Extra Work For You or Your Team

You don’t need to plan events, but your brand will be featured at several.

You don’t need to provide staff because our staff has tasted your brand, knows it, loves it and will sing its praises.

Tequila Aficionado Media Mounts Up for its 2017 Wild Wild West Tour

Tequila Aficionado Media Mounts Up for its 2017 Wild Wild West Tour

Wrangles Agave Spirit Brands of Promise for October Promotional Roundup

For Immediate Release!

July, 2017, San Antonio, TX— Beginning October 1, 2017, Tequila Aficionado Media pulls up stakes for the Wild Wild West promotional road tour touting its past and present Brand Of Promise© nominees and winners.

A posse of 44 expressions representing 21 agave spirits brands, will saddle up to blaze a trail to various scheduled educational tastings and entertaining events throughout historic Southwestern haunts.

One With Life Tequila http://tequilaaficionado.com/tequilawiki/tequila-aficionado-wiki/one-with-life-tequila/

Each tour celebrates Brand of Promise© winners and nominees elected during Tequila Aficionado’s thunderingly popular Sipping Off The Cuff© video and audio reviews.

“Our tours are about co-creating great brand stories with agave spirits we’ve deemed worthy of extra attention,” explains Lisa Pietsch, CMO of Tequila Aficionado Media and Co-Founder of TequilaPR.  “We’re very careful to allocate enough time on the road to be able to give each label’s expression the attention it deserves.”

Past journeys have covered different geographic areas with specific themes.

2017’s topic is the Wild Wild West, where barnstorming to rowdy saloons and ghost towns are planned in Van Horn, TX, White Sands, NM, and Tombstone, AZ.  Glitz, glamour, and glamping are primed for whistle stops in Tucson and Phoenix, AZ, as well as San Diego, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs, CA.

“We’re fired up about the quality and diversity of these lines,” crows Mike Morales, CEO of Tequila Aficionado Media and Co-Founder of TequilaPR.  “The range of agave spirits on this year’s Wild Wild West Tour is some of the finest sampling of Mexico we’ve travelled with.”

Early birds riding for the brands on the 2017 Wild Wild West Tour are:

Desmadre Tequila http://tequilaaficionado.com/tequilawiki/tequila-aficionado-wiki/desmadre-tequila/One With Life, Azunia, newcomer El Consuelo, and the reloaded 4 Copas will be marshalling the stampede proudly displaying USDA Organic tequila badges.

Elegance and grace will be supplied by aces-high Embajador, delightful Amorada, the devilish Tres Ochos, and the dandy Titanium tequila.

Infused tequilas are the new men in black with Serrano pepper charged Soltado, citrus kissed Diva, Dos Almas laced with exotic Indonesian Ceylon cinnamon sitting shotgun alongside its 110 proof blanco cousin; and the Mountie of the group, De La Tierre Maple Tequila made with authentic Canadian maple.

Legendary tequila distilling families are well represented with Carlos Camarena’s classic Tapatio, Felipe Camarena’s sparkling Terralta, along with the maverick Los Osuna Blue Agave Spirit.

Taming this tequila wild bunch will be the mysterious anejos Mandala, along with Malinalli, named for the famed advisor and interpreter to Spanish Conquistador, Hernan Cortes.

It wouldn’t be the Wild Wild West without outlaws.

Point blank gunslinger DesMaDre tequila is ready to be every taste buds’ huckleberry.  Riding point is the deceptively refined, Scorpion Mezcal.

Rustling up the rear of this bonanza of beverages is road warrior, Route 66 Reposado and its stablemate Penasco blanco tequilas.

When the whole kit and caboodle reaches California, Tequila Aficionado will celebrate its 18th anniversary with an invitation-only VIP tasting at the site where Sipping Off The Cuff© podcasts began–the iconic El Cholo Cafe in Pasadena.

Along the trail, adds Morales, “We’ll be able to present these marques to distributors for Texas, California, and Colorado for private tastings that will provide them with a more thoughtful examination should they want to carry them in the future.”

“But,” warns Pietsch, “in order to create all the content we promise our sponsors, we can only accommodate two expressions per tour day.  When we reopen registration on July 17, 2017, we’ll be able to make room for just 14 more expressions.”

Wild Wild West Tour FAQs

Wild Wild West Tour FAQs https://wp.me/p3u1xi-4s2

Who’s going?

In the RV, we’ll have Mike Morales and Lisa Pietsch.

Brands that are going will be announced on our Instagram and Twitter, as they commit.

Wild Wild West Tour FAQs https://wp.me/p3u1xi-4s2

What does it cost?

The Early Bird Price (prior to June 14) is $300 per expression.  If we have room on the tour, we may open registration again in late July, but the price will go up the longer you wait.

Where are you going?

Each tour covers a different geographic area and has a different theme.  This year’s theme is the Wild Wild West so we’ll be hitting some cowboy faves in America’s Southwest that include everything from rowdy saloons and ghost towns to glitz, glamour, and glamping!  Some stops we’re planning include White Sands, NM; Tombstone, AZ; San Diego, Los Angeles, & Palm Springs, CA.

Wild Wild West Tour FAQs https://wp.me/p3u1xi-4s2

When does it start?

We plan to head ’em up and move ’em out on October 1st so we can provide sponsors with great content leading up to Dia de Los Muertos and right on through Christmas and New Year’s Day.

This year (2017) we’ll be offering a special Early Bird Package of additional sponsor brand content that we’ll start posting in July which adds a whole summer of extra promotion before we even start the tour.  People who register as Early Birds (prior to June 14) will receive this package absolutely free with their sponsor price and get 6 months worth of brand promotion for only $300 per expression.

Wild Wild West Tour FAQs https://wp.me/p3u1xi-4s2

Why do you do this?

We spend all year in our office researching and creating articles and filming Sipping Off the Cuff.  Getting out on the road once a year gives us the time and opportunity to get really creative and go local with a lot of brands we feel deserve much more attention from consumers but are running on a bootstrap budget.

How did this start?

Wild Wild West Tour FAQs https://wp.me/p3u1xi-4s2We had to visit New Mexico to pick up some things Mike had stored there and the only way to make the trip with the kids, cats and dog was with an RV.  We didn’t own one, but discovered renting one was cheaper than driving and staying in hotels.  Before we left, Larry Large of the Diva, Penasco, and Route 66 Tequila brands gave us a few bottles “for the road”.  Driving through West Texas, it struck us that we had a great opportunity to provide some co-operative marketing to craft brands that might not have the budget to visit locations independently with a camera crew.

What is the Purpose for Tequila Aficionado Tours?

The main purpose for our annual tours is to seek out interesting places and situations that will allow us to create great social media content for the brands that come on as sponsors and introduce our readers and viewers to their products.  In marketing jargon, his is an influencer marketing campaign that kicks off the holiday buying season for our sponsors.

What Do Sponsors Get?

Each year, we develop a different sponsor package based upon the most popular social networks that agave spirits brands will want to be seen on.  Every piece of content (pictures, articles, and videos) we create goes out to our networks and reaches over 1/2 million consumers within 24 hours and 3+ million in 48hrs.

If you have accounts with the networks we’re posting to, you can share the content we create with your following but…

If you don’t have an account with a network we’re using, you still get the benefit of having a presence on that network through Tequila Aficionado.

But My Brand isn’t Available in the States You’re Visiting.

Tequila Aficionado Tour FAQs http://wp.me/p3u1xi-4s2We aren’t visiting these places to sell your brand in those states.  (It might help, but it won’t hurt!) We’re visiting these places because they grab our audience’s attention and provide us with great backdrops to create photos, videos, and articles about your brand.  It doesn’t matter if your brand is available where we’re going.  When brands aren’t available and we share them with aficionados, they start looking for them and creating buzz. everywhere.

Tequila Aficionado has a worldwide audience!  Do you think it matters to the aficionados in Maine that they don’t have Gracias A Dios Mezcal in their local liquor store?  Of course not!  They know they love mezcal, saw our reviews and the social posts we made about it, and now they’re looking for it online and wherever they travel.

But What if I Already Have an Ad Agency?

That’s great!  You must be awesome!

What we do doevtails perfectly with what your agency and/or Social Media Manager does.  We are influencers in the agave spirits industry and they’ll understand that the content we create can be curated and reused to your benefit as the endorsement it is.  (Only Brands of Promise nominees are allowed to roll with us on a tour – a brand that has been nominated is one we feel we can endorse in good conscience.)

Tequila Aficionado Tour FAQs http://wp.me/p3u1xi-4s2But if you’re dealing with an agency, you should know that 70% of advertising and marketing agencies are spending at least 25% of their budgets on influencer marketing.  What we do is eliminate the agency markup and provide our influence at a reasonable price that doesn’t gauge your bottom line.  We know how much work you put into what you do with your brand and we know how much work we put into ours.  The price we charge is fair and reasonable to small brands (and agencies) who don’t have a Brown-Forman budget.

Can I Coordinate an Event with You?

Sure!  We’re always happy to make room in our tour schedule to attend a sponsor’s event.  Tequila Aficionado Tour FAQs http://wp.me/p3u1xi-4s2We’ve had sponsor brands ask us to meet them for lunch at one of their best accounts so we can do a profile on that restaurant.  We’ve also had sponsor brands ask us to attend private tastings where they’ll be entertaining their investors.

If you come on the tour as a sponsor with at least 3 expressions, we’ll fit your event or a stop at one of your preferred accounts into our itinerary.

If you aren’t a sponsor and want us to participate in your event or do a profile on your restaurant then we must politely remind you that this is our profession.  You wouldn’t be in business if you gave away all your liquor or food for free, would you?

I Tequila Aficionado Tour FAQs http://wp.me/p3u1xi-4s2Don’t Have a Tequila Brand but I’d Love Your Audience to See My Product

Great!  In addition to being aficionados of agave spirits, we are also a (fairly) normal American family.  If our demographic and your demographic intersect then let’s talk!  We eat, drink coffee, exercise, use a full array of electronic devices, watch TV, listen to music, and travel with our kids, dog and cats like other people.  Let’s talk!

Tequila Aficionado Heartland Tour

Heartland Tour

HeartlandTour sidebar, heartland, tequila aficionadoWe’re planning to hit the road again this fall and we’re taking this trip in a whole new direction.  Our last trip was all about the great Southwest and the photo ops available there for Tequilas and mezcals, but this tour will be different – we’re going straight for the Heartland.

What We’ll Do

On this tour, we’ll be traveling north from Texas to the Twin Cities to share some agave love in those states in between.  From there, we’ll explore pairing with Wisconsin Cheeses and Michigan apples.

All along the way, we expect to have plenty of pairing and photo ops for agave spirit brands that want to come along and we’re fine tuning all our networks to share as much of the experience as we can through live Facebook video, YouTube video, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, and more.  This means epic, out-of-the-box content for the brands who choose to come with us.

How To Get In On It

If we’ve reviewed your brand and nominated it for or awarded it with a Brands of Promise Award, we’d love to have it on board for this tour that promises the best the American Heartland has to offer.
